Backbone State Park - Strawberry Point, Backbone State Park is Iowa's oldest state park, dedicated in 1919. Located in the valley of the Maquoketa River, it is about three miles south of Strawberry Point in Delaware County. Backbone Lake Dam, a relatively low dam built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930s, creates Backbone Lake. The Civilian Conservation Corps constructed a majority of trails and buildings which make up the park.

Cedar Rock State Park - Quasqueton, The Lowell Walter Residence, which is also referred to as Cedar Rock, is a Frank Lloyd Wright designed Usonian home that was constructed in Quasqueton, Iowa in 1950. Nelson Dewey Homesite - , Cassville, Stonefield, located at 12195 County Road VV outside Cassville, Wisconsin, was the 2,000 acre estate of Wisconsin's first governor, Nelson Dewey. Much of the original estate has been separated into Nelson Dewey State Park and the Stonefield historic site, an expansive museum operated by the Wisconsin Historical Society. The historic site takes advantage of the large property by offering several different areas for visitors, including an early Wisconsin farmhouse, a re-created agricultural village built to resemble those common around 1900, and a reconstruction of Nelson Dewey's home.

Villa Louis - , Prairie du Chien, The Villa Louis, which is also referred to as Dousman Mansion, is a National Historic Landmark located on St. Feriole island in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin. Today the site is restored to its appearance during the late 19th Century, when it was the estate of the prominent H. Louis Dousman family.
