Backbone State Park - Strawberry Point, Backbone State Park is Iowa's oldest state park, dedicated in 1919. Located in the valley of the Maquoketa River, it is about three miles south of Strawberry Point in Delaware County. Backbone Lake Dam, a relatively low dam built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930s, creates Backbone Lake. The Civilian Conservation Corps constructed a majority of trails and buildings which make up the park.

Karpeles Manuscript Library Museum - Buffalo, The Karpeles Manuscript Library is the world’s largest private collection of original manuscripts and documents. McElroy Auditorium - Waterloo, McElroy Auditorium is a 5,155-seat multipurpose arena that is situated in Waterloo, Iowa. The original auditorium was built in 1919 but was replaced by the current auditorium which was built in 1936. Most arenas of McElroy's capacity are today built with higher ceilings but McElroy's ceiling is only 26 feet from the 20,000-square-foot arena floor. The arena contains 234 box seats and a 4,000-square-foot lobby.

UNI-Dome - University of Northern Iowa - Cedar Falls, UNI-Dome is a multi-purpose stadium, on the campus of the University of Northern Iowa, in Cedar Falls, Iowa. It opened in 1976, as the home of the UNI Panthers basketball and football teams. The facility's capacity, for football, is 16,300. For basketball, its official capacity is 10,000; however, it has seated as many as 22,000, for events, such as, the 1990 Mid-Continent Conference men’s basketball tournament and the 1997 NCAA Division I National Wrestling Championships.
