The city of Sedona is located in the state of Arizona and has a population of 11,598 as reported by the census of 2010. The largest nearby city to Sedona is Prescott Valley, approximately 30 miles from the city center.

In the month of December, Sedona experiences an average high temperature of 50 degrees Fahrenheit. Low temperaturs in December are usually about 29 degrees with an average rainfall of 2.41 inches.

The seasonal climate varies in Sedona with daytime temperatures averaging 84 degrees in the summer, and 51 degrees in the winter months. Visitors can also expect Sedona to receive an average of 3.14 inches of rainfall per/month during winter months and 2.49 inches of rainfall per/month in the summer months.

The temperature has been known to get as high as 106 degrees in the summer and as low as 2 degrees in the winter so visitors planning a vacation to Sedona should check the weather forecast to determine proper attire prior to departure. It boasts a 2,300-foot drop, the largest in Arizona, and has 5 lifts servicing the mountain. Two lodges, Hart Prairie Lodge and Agassiz Lodge, are located at the ski area.

Clemenceau Heritage Museum  - Cottonwood,
Clemenceau is a neighborhood of the city of Cottonwood in Yavapai County, Arizona. It was built as a company town in 1917 to serve the new smelter for James Douglas, Jr.'s United Verde Extension mine in Jerome, . The town was originally named Verde after the mine, but it was changed to Clemenceau in 1920 in honor of the French Premier in World War I, Georges Clemenceau, a personal friend of Mr. Douglas. Clemenceau would later leave a vase designed by the French potter Ernest Chaplet to the town in return.

Montezuma Castle National Monument, located near Camp Verde, Arizona, in the Southwestern United States, features well-preserved cliff-dwellings. They were built and used by the Pre-Columbian Sinagua people around 700 AD. Several Hopi clans trace their roots to immigrants from the Montezuma Castle/Beaver Creek area. Clan members periodically return to their former homes for religious ceremonies. When European Americans discovered them in the 1860s, they named them for the Aztec emperor Montezuma II, due to mistaken beliefs that the emperor had been connected to their construction.
