Timberon Golf & Country Club - Timberon, The Timberon Golf & Country Club is a 9 hole public golf course in Otero County New Mexico. Built in 1974, this Timberon course is open apr 15 to oct 31. Tee times are accepted by calling the pro shop at 505-987-2260. The golf course dress code is as follows: No tank tops or cutoffs.

White Sands National Monument - Alamogordo, The White Sands National Monument is a U.S. National Monument located about 25 km southwest of Alamogordo in western Otero County and northeastern Dona Ana County in the state of New Mexico, at an elevation of 4235 feet. The area is in the mountain-ringed Tularosa Basin valley area and comprises the southern part of a 710-km² field of white sand dunes composed of gypsum crystals.
