3M Museum - Two Harbors, The John Dwan Office Building, located at 201 Waterfront Drive in Two Harbors, in the U.S. state of Minnesota was the location where Dwan, a Two Harbors attorney drew up the incorporation papers for the Minnesota Mining and Manufacturing Company in 1902. The new company’s vision was to mine and process corundum that the founders believed was plentiful on Lake Superior's north shore. The company nearly went bankrupt, because the mineral they were mining was useless as an abrasive and the high humidity at Lake Superior wreaked havoc with their adhesive process.

Duluth Depot - Duluth, The Depot was built in 1892, served seven different rail lines, and accommodated 5,000 passengers. In 1973 it re-opened, housing the Duluth Art Institute, Duluth Children's Museum, Lake Superior Railroad Museum, St. Louis County Historical Society Museum, North Shore Scenic Railroad, and five performing arts organizations.

Fitger's Brewery Complex Museum - Duluth, The Fitger's Brewing Company brewed beer from 1881 to 1972, making it Duluth's oldest continually-operating industry. The brewery was located at 600 East Superior Street, on Lake Superior in the U.S. state of Minnesota. The complex included ten buildings including the garage/stable, which was built in 1911. Over the life of the company this building housed the horses and vehicle used to deliver the brewery's product.

Glensheen Historic Estate - Duluth, The Glensheen Historic Estate is a historic mansion on Lake Superior owned by the University of Minnesota Duluth, . Glensheen sits on 7.6 acres of lake front property, has 38 rooms and is built in the Jacobean architectural tradition, inspired by the Beaux-Arts styles of the era. It is housed in a three-story building in Duluth, Minnesota on the shores of Lake Superior and has numerous large and smaller satellite tanks that comprise the 120,000 gallon facility. Construction took 3.5 years and cost around $34 million.

The historic vessels USCG Buoy Tender Sundew, US Army Corps of Engineers tugboat Lake Superior, and the lake freighter SS William A. Irvin are moored there, and open for tours.

Karpeles Manuscript Library Museum - , Shreveport, The Karpeles Manuscript Library is the world’s largest private collection of original manuscripts and documents. The library was founded in 1983 by California real estate magnates, David and Marsha Karpeles, with the goal of stimulating interest in learning, especially in children. All of the Karpeles Manuscript Library services are free.

Lake County Historical Depot Museum - Two Harbors, The Duluth and Iron Range Railroad Company Depot, located on Sixth Street in Two Harbors, in the U.S. state of Minnesota was built in 1907. The large two-story depot was the third depot on the site. The Minnesota Iron Company developed the Duluth and Iron Range Railway in 1883, laid out the town of Two Harbors in 1885, and built depots to conducts its business. When the rail line was completed to Duluth, it was used as a transfer point for passengers, lumber, and mining supplies.
