Fort Hays - Hays, Fort Hays was an important frontier outpost of the United States Army located in Hays, Kansas between 1865 and 1889. Fort Hays was the home of several well-known Indian wars regiments including the Seventh U.S. Cavalry, the Fifth U.S. Infantry, and the Tenth U.S. Cavalry, whose black troopers were better known as buffalo soldiers. The fort was originally located about five miles south of present day Walker, Kansas.

Fort Hays Municipal Golf Course - Hays, The Fort Hays Municipal Golf Course is an 18 hole public golf course in Ellis County Kansas. Built in 1920, this Hays course designed by Dewey Longworth is open all year. Tee times are accepted up to 7 days in advance and the pro shop phone number for reservations is 785-625-9949. The golf course dress code is as follows: Shirt and shoes required.

Graham County Grass Greens - Hill City, The Graham County Grass Greens is a 9 hole public golf course in Graham County Kansas. Built in 1960, this Hill City course designed by Ed Herman is open all year. Tee times are accepted by calling the pro shop at 785-421-2868. The golf course dress code is as follows: Shirt and shoes required.

Gross Memorial Coliseum - Fort Hays State University - Hays, The Gross Memorial Coliseum is a 6,814 seat multi-purpose arena in Hays, Kansas. It was built in 1973. It is the home of the Fort Hays State University Tigers women's volleyball team, as well as the men's and women's basketball teams. It also hosts state championship events for Classes 1A, 2A, and 3A wrestling, 1A and 2A volleyball, and 1A boys' and girls' basketball for the Kansas State High School Activities Association.

Nicodemus National Historic Site - , Nicodemus, Nicodemus National Historic Site, located in Nicodemus, Kansas, preserves, protects and interprets the only remaining western town established by African Americans during the Reconstruction Period following the American Civil War. The town of Nicodemus is symbolic of the pioneer spirit of African Americans who dared to leave the only region they had been familiar with to seek personal freedom and the opportunity to develop their talents and capabilities.
