Buttonwillow Raceway Park - Buttonwillow, Buttonwillow Raceway Park is a motorsports park in Kern County, California, 10 miles north of the town of Buttonwillow and 28 miles northwest of Bakersfield, . Owned and operated by the California Sports Car Club, a region of SCCA, Buttonwillow is the "flagship" track of Cal Club, and is also the location of the Club's administrative offices.

Colonel Allensworth State Historic Park - , Allensworth, Colonel Allensworth State Historic Park is the only California town to be founded, financed and governed by African Americans. The small farming community was founded in 1908 by Lt. Colonel Allen Allensworth, Professor William Payne, William Peck, a minister, John W. Palmer, a miner, and Harry A. Mitchell, a real estate agent, dedicated to improving the economic and social status of African Americans. Uncontrollable circumstances, including a drop in the area's water table, resulted in the town's demise.

Hanford Carnegie Museum - Hanford, The Hanford Carnegie Library, now the Hanford Carnegie Museum, was built in 1905 as one of the many Carnegie libraries that were funded by the steel industry magnate, Andrew Carnegie. The library was replaced by a new structure at a different location in 1968. The old library was subsequently renovated and re-opened as the Hanford Carnegie Museum in 1974. The building is of Romanesque Revival architecture with displays of furniture and photos describing the history of the Hanford area .
