Colonel Allensworth State Historic Park - , Allensworth, Colonel Allensworth State Historic Park is the only California town to be founded, financed and governed by African Americans. Located downtown at the corner of Truxtun Avenue and N Street, it was built in 1998, and was originally known as Centennial Garden.
