Built in 1970, this Fairfax Station course designed by Leon Howard & Dave Bennett is open all year. Cameron Hills Golf Links - King George, The Cameron Hills Golf Links is an 18 hole public golf course in King George County Virginia. Charles Sumner School - Washington, The Charles Sumner School, established in 1872, was one of the earliest schools for African Americans in Washington, D.C. Named for the prominent abolitionist and United States Senator Charles Sumner, the school became the first teachers college for black citizens in the city and the headquarters of its segregated school system for African American students. It currently houses a small museum, a research room, art exhibits, and the archives of the District of Columbia Public Schools.

Chatham Manor - Fredericksburg, Chatham Manor is the Georgian-style home built between 1768 and 1771 by William Fitzhugh on the Rappahannock River in Stafford County, Virginia, opposite Fredericksburg, . It was for more than a century the center of a large, thriving plantation. Flanking the main house were dozens of supporting structures: a dairy, ice house, barns, stables. Down on the river were fish traps. The 1,280-acre estate included an orchard, mill, and a race track where Fitzhugh's horses vied with those of other planters for prize money.

Clara Barton National Historic Site - , Glen Echo, The Clara Barton National Historic Site, which includes the Clara Barton House, was established in 1974 to interpret the life of Clara Barton, an American pioneer teacher, nurse, and humanitarian who was the founder of the American Red Cross. Claude Moore Colonial Farm - , Langley, The Claude Moore Colonial Farm at Turkey Run is the only privately run park in the U.S. National Park Service. A privately funded foundation pays for all activities on the farm, while the land is owned by NPS. Located in the Langley area of McLean, Virginia, across an access road from the headquarters of the Central Intelligence Agency.

Colonial Beach - Colonial Beach, Colonial Beach is a town in Westmoreland County, Virginia. The population was 3,228 at the 2000 census. Possessing the second largest beach front in the state, Colonial Beach was a popular resort town in the early to mid-20th century, before the Chesapeake Bay Bridge made ocean beaches on the Eastern Shore of Maryland more accessible to visitors from Washington, D.C. The family of Alexander Graham Bell maintained a summer home in Colonial Beach, the Bell House, which still stands today.

Colvin Run Mill - Great Falls, Colvin Run Mill is a museum that is situated in Great Falls, Virginia. Built c. 1813, Colvin Run Mill is the sole surviving operational 19th-century water-powered mill in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, and its restored mechanism is a nationally significant example of automated technologies pioneered in milling and later adopted across American industry. Down the gravel path of the park is the miller's house, home to the families who ran the mill.
