Texas World Speedway - College Station, Texas World Speedway was built in 1969 and is one of only seven superspeedways of two miles or greater in the US, the others being Indianapolis, Daytona, Pocono, Talladega, California, and Michigan. TWS is located on about 600 acres on State Highway 6 in College Station, Texas. There is a 2-mile oval, and several road course configurations. The last major race occurred at the track in 1981.
