Fanthorp Inn State Historic Site - Anderson, Fanthorp Inn State Historic Site is a historic hotel in Anderson, Texas. The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department acquired the 1.4-acre site by purchase in 1977 from a Fanthorp descendant. Ten years were spent researching and restoring the Inn to its 1850 look. The site was opened to the public on October 4, 1987.

Texas World Speedway - College Station, Texas World Speedway was built in 1969 and is one of only seven superspeedways of two miles or greater in the US, the others being Indianapolis, Daytona, Pocono, Talladega, California, and Michigan. TWS is located on about 600 acres on State Highway 6 in College Station, Texas. There is a 2-mile oval, and several road course configurations. The last major race occurred at the track in 1981. The track is still used by amateur racing clubs such as the SCCA, NASA, driving schools and car clubs, as well as hosting music concerts and the like.

Waterwood National Resort & Country Club - Huntsville, The Waterwood National Resort & Country Club is an 18 hole resort golf course in Walker County Texas. Built in 1974, this Huntsville course designed by Pete Dye is open all year. Tee times are accepted up to 7 days in advance and the pro shop phone number for reservations is 409-891-5050. The golf course dress code is as follows: No denim, collared shirt and bermuda shorts required.
