Bartholomew House Museum - , Richfield, The Riley Lucas Bartholomew House was constructed of sawed lumber. In 1852 when Fort Snelling was greatly reduced in size, the area that would become the city of Richfield became available for settlement. General Riley Lucas Bartholomew came to the area and filed a claim on the shores of Wood Lake. He proceeded to build the two-story section of the home with local lumber, using white pine for the floors. His wife, Fanny and two children joined him in the spring of 1853.

Buck Hill - Burnsville, Buck Hill is a ski hill in the city of Burnsville, Minnesota, a suburb south of Minneapolis, . It is one of three ski areas located within the Twin Cities metropolitan area, the others are Afton Alps and Hyland Ski and Snowboard Area. Buck Hill opened in 1954 and offers ski, snowboard, and tubing trails.
