Acadia National Park - Acadia National Park is a national park that is situated in the U.S. state of Maine. It reserves much of Mount Desert Island, and associated smaller islands, off the Atlantic coast. Originally created as Lafayette National Park in 1919, the first National Park East of the Mississippi, it was renamed Acadia in 1929.

Alfond Arena - University of Maine - Orono, Alfond Arena is a 5,712-seat multi-purpose arena in Orono, Maine in the US. The arena opened in 1977. It is home to the University of Maine Black Bears ice hockey and basketball teams. It is recognizable for its distinctive multi-angular roof design, which was also used in the Pavilion at Villanova University and the Brown University Smith Swim Center. It was expanded from its original capacity of 3,800 in 1992 in order to accommodate more spectators and bring the basketball team back from its temporary home at the Bangor Auditorium.

Fort Knox (Maine) - , Prospect, Fort Knox, now Fort Knox State Park or Fort Knox State Historic Site, in Maine was built from 1844-1869. It is that can be found on the western bank of the Penobscot River in the town of Prospect, Maine, about 5 miles from the mouth of the river. It was the first fort in Maine built of granite. It is named after Henry Knox, the first US Secretary of War, who at the end of his life lived not far away in Thomaston, Maine.
