Farnsworth Art Museum - Rockland, The Farnsworth Art Museum in Rockland, Maine, is an art museum that specializes in American art of the 18th–20th centuries. Its permanent collection includes works by such artists as Gilbert Stuart, Thomas Sully, Thomas Eakins, Eastman Johnson, Fitz Henry Lane, Frank Benson, Childe Hassam, and Maurice Prendergast, as well as a significant collection of works by the 20th-century sculptor Louise Nevelson. Fort Knox (Maine) - , Prospect, Fort Knox, now Fort Knox State Park or Fort Knox State Historic Site, in Maine was built from 1844-1869. Old Post Office (Liberty, Maine) - Liberty, The Old Post Office, which is also referred to as the Old Octagonal Post Office, was built in 1870 and is an historic octagon-shaped former U.S. post office building located on Main Street in Liberty, Maine. On June 19, 1973, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places. The town of Liberty boasts that the building is "the only octagonal post office in the US". The building, which "has all its original equipment" is now the home of the Liberty Historical Society, which opens it to the public on Saturdays during the summer.
