Cool Spring Golf Course - Onaga, The Cool Spring Golf Course is a 9 hole public golf course in Pottawatomie County Kansas. Built in 2000, this Onaga course designed by Marty Johnson is open all year. Tee times are accepted by calling the pro shop at 785-889-7128. The golf course dress code is as follows: Shirt and shoes required.

Hollenberg Pony Express Station State Historic Site - Hanover, Hollenberg Pony Express Station, which is also referred to as Cottonwood Pony Express Station, is now located on Hollenberg Ranch State Park. Built by Gerat H. Hollenberg in 1858, this cabin was associated with the Oregon and California Trails, the Pony Express, and the Butterfield Overland Mail. Hollenberg traded with emigrants on the trails, operated the westernmost Pony Express station in Kansas, and provided relay services for the Overland Mail.

Homestead National Monument of America - , Beatrice, Homestead National Monument of America, a unit of the National Park System, commemorates passage of the Homestead Act of 1862, which allowed any qualified person to claim up to 160 acres of federally owned land in exchange for five years of residence and the cultivation and improvement of the property. The Act eventually transferred 270 million acres from public to private ownership.
