Cedar Key Historical Museum - Cedar Key, The Cedar Key Historical Society Museum is located at 7070 D Street, Cedar Key, Florida. It contains exhibits and photographs depicting the history of Cedar Key from prehistoric times through the 20th century. The museum is housed in two buildings. The main part is in the Lutterloh House. The annex is the Andrews House, which was originally on Atsena Otie Key before being moved to the mainland after the 1896 hurricane.

Kanapaha Botanical Gardens - Gainesville, The Kanapaha Botanical Gardens is a botanical garden in Gainesville, Florida, operated by the North Florida Botanical Society. Their name comes from nearby Lake Kanapaha. The gardens were established in 1978 when the society leased 33 acres for a public botanical garden. Another 29 acres were added in 1982. The gardens opened to the public in 1986.

Santa Fe College Teaching Zoo - Gainesville, The Santa Fe College Teaching Zoo is a zoo in Gainesville, Florida. As part of Santa Fe College, It is the only zookeeper training facility in the US with its own Association of Zoos and Aquariums-accredited zoo on grounds. Students spend 18 months learning about animal husbandry, breeding, nutrition, medical care, physiology, taxonomic relationships, conservation, enclosure construction, proper zoo sanitation, and other topics through classwork and actual work as keepers in the zoo.
