Bent's Old Fort National Historic Site - La Junta, Bent's Old Fort is an 1833 fort located in Otero County in southeastern Colorado in the US. William and Charles Bent, along with Ceran St. Vrain, built the fort to trade with Southern Cheyenne and Arapaho Plains Indians and trappers for buffalo robes. For much of its 16-year history, the fort was the only major permanent settlement on the Santa Fe Trail between Missouri and the Mexican settlements. It was destroyed under mysterious circumstances in 1849.

Rocky Ford Country Club - Rocky Ford, The Rocky Ford Country Club is a 9 hole public golf course in Otero County Colorado. Built in 1920, this Rocky Ford course is open all year. Tee times are accepted by calling the pro shop at 719-254-7528. The golf course dress code is as follows: Shirt and shoes required.
