Colorado Gators Reptile Park - Mosca, Colorado Gators Reptile Park was opened to the public in 1990, in Mosca, Colorado. Located 17 miles north of Alamosa, Colorado, it started as a tilapia farm in 1977, and now includes a bird sanctuary, reptile rescue, education, and display, and a biodome.

Great Sand Dunes National Park and Preserve - Great Sand Dunes National Park and Preserve is a United States national park that is situated in the easternmost parts of Alamosa County and Saguache County, Colorado. Originally designated Great Sand Dunes National Monument, Great Sand Dunes National Park and Preserve was created by an act of the United States Congress on September 13, 2004. The park contains about 85,000 acres.
