Folsom City Zoo Sanctuary - Folsom, The Folsom City Zoo Sanctuary is a zoo and animal sanctuary located in the city of Folsom, California in the US, which has been open since 1963. It is essentially an animal sanctuary which allows visitors, as the animals in this zoo are not bred, sold or traded. Once they are at the zoo/sanctuary they are cared for as long as they live.

Folsom Powerhouse State Historic Park - Folsom, Folsom Powerhouse State Historic Park is a historical site located in Folsom near Sacramento, California, in the US. Built in the late 19th century by the Natoma Water and Mining Company and prison labor from Folsom Prison, the hydroelelectric powerhouse first delivered power to Sacramento in 1895. The powerplant remained in operation until 1952. Pacific Gas and Electric donated the plant to the State of California, which designated the site as State Historic Site Number #633.

Folsom Prison - Folsom, Folsom State Prison is a California State Prison located in the city of Folsom, 20 miles North East from the state capital of Sacramento. Opened in 1880, Folsom is the second-oldest prison in the state of California after San Quentin and was the first in the country to have electricity. Folsom was one of the first maximum security prisons, and as such witnessed the execution of 93 condemned prisoners over a 42-year period.

Marshall Gold Discovery State Historic Park - Coloma, Marshall Gold Discovery State Historic Park is a California state park near Placerville, California in the US. It marks the discovery of gold by James W. Marshall at Sutter's Mill in 1848. The park grounds include much of the historic town of Coloma, California, which is now considered a ghost town as well as a National Historic Landmark District. The entire route of California State Route 153 lies within the park, and allows visitors to drive to the top of the hill where the monument to James Marshall stands.
