Alabama Rural Heritage Center  - Thomaston,
The Alabama Rural Heritage Center is a museum that is situated in Thomaston, Alabama, and was built by the Auburn University Rural Studio. The center is run by the non-profit Alabama Rural Heritage Foundation. The building is located off of Alabama Highway 25, on the former Marengo County High School Campus. It is recognized for its billboard-like sign, and annual summer festival, Rural Fun Day.

Bluff Hall is a historic residence in Demopolis, Alabama. The original portion of the house is in the Federal style with later additions that altered it to the Greek Revival style. It was documented as part of the Historic American Buildings Survey in 1936, and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1970. As of 2007, it serves as a historic house museum, with the interior restored to an 1850s appearance.

Gaineswood is a plantation house in Demopolis, Alabama. The house was completed on the eve of the American Civil War after a construction period of almost twenty years. It is the grandest plantation house ever built in Marengo County and is one of the most significant remaining examples of Greek Revival architecture in Alabama. The house and grounds are currently operated by the Alabama Historical Commission as a historic house museum.

The Kathryn Tucker Windham Museum is a biographical museum that can be found on the campus of Alabama Southern Community College in Thomasville, Alabama. It is dedicated to preserving the works of native author, storyteller, and journalist, Kathryn Tucker Windham. Windham has spent much of her life recording Alabama's history and folklore. The museum was dedicated on June 1, 2003, Windham's 85th birthday.
