Alabama Jazz Hall of Fame - Birmingham, The Alabama Jazz Hall of Fame was founded in 1978, and opened a museum on September 18, 1993, with a mission "to foster, encourage, educate, and cultivate a general appreciation of the medium of jazz music as a legitimate, original and distinctive art form indigenous to America. Alabama Museum of Health Sciences - Birmingham, The Alabama Museum of the Health Sciences was opened and dedicated at the UAB campus in 1975. Ave Maria Grotto - Cullman, Ave Maria Grotto, in Cullman, Alabama, is a landscaped, 4-acre park in an old quarry on the grounds of St. Bernard Abbey, providing a garden setting for 125 miniature reproductions of some of the most famous religious structures of the world. It was added to the Alabama Register of Landmarks and Heritage on February 24, 1976 and to the National Register of Historic Places on January 19, 1984.

Bartow Arena - University of Alabama at Birmingham - Birmingham, Bartow Arena is an 8,508-seat multi-purpose arena in Birmingham, Alabama. It is home to the UAB Blazers men's and women's basketball teams as well as the women's volleyball team. The arena is named after Gene Bartow, the coach who largely built the school's men's basketball program from scratch over the last quarter of the 20th century. UAB initially played their games at the Birmingham Jefferson Convention Complex Arena, but moved its games to the on-campus facility beginning with the 1988-89 season.
