The Great State of South Carolina
South Carolina is a state in the Deep South of the United States. It is one of the original 13 Colonies and borders the Atlantic Ocean to the east. It has a humid subtropical climate.
Columbia, which is South Carolina’s capital, is also its largest city. One of the most visited parks in Columbia is Finlay Park. It has a beautiful waterfall which cascades into the lake, with a playground and picnic area. It has hosted many festivals and events including free summer concerts.
Table Rock State Park in South Carolina is part of the Blue Ridge Mountains and includes the tallest mountain, Pinnacle Mountain which is contained within the state. In the park there are two lakes with swimming allowed during certain seasons and trails that lead to the top of the Pinnacle Mountain.
There are also several lakes to enjoy among these is Lake Murray. It is a recreational area with boating and fishing being quite popular. Lake Hartwell, which has a border with Georgia, is another great place for boating, fishing and water-skiing. It has houses with docks which border the lake.

6 Ashtabula Historic House

It has been also known as the Gibbes-Broyles-Latta-Pelzer House or some combination of one or more of these names. It was named to the National Register of Historic Places as a Historic District on March 23, 1972. It is considered a significant example of a Lowcountry style plantation house built for a Charleston family in the Upstate in the early nineteenth century.
