Oregon is located in the Pacific Northwest part of the United States with California to the South and Washington State to the North. Its varied landscapes include the Pacific coastline, volcanoes lush forests of Douglas firs and Redwood, and even somewhat dry desert and prairie fields.

Oregon coastline is dotted with fishing towns, lighthouses and gorgeous landscapes and seascapes. Among this diverse State attractions is included Willamette Valley famous for its historic rural towns and wine, Mount Hood know for its skiing and hiking and Portland with its restaurants, parks and cultural entertainment.

The A.C. Gilbert's Discovery Village is an interactive children's museum that is situated in Salem, Oregon. This hands-on museum was named in honor of American inventor Alfred Carlton Gilbert and displays several of his inventions, most notably the Erector Set. In fact, the Village is home to the world's largest Erector Set tower at 52 feet. Originally home to the National Toy Hall of Fame, the museum sold the Hall of Fame to the Strong - National Museum of Play in 2002.
