Fort New Salem - Salem, Fort New Salem located in Salem, West Virginia is a frontier settlement of nineteenth century log structures in West Virginia. It was originally settled in 1792 by a group of Seventh Day Baptist families from Shrewsbury, NJ. English, Welsh, Scotch-Irish and German farm culture shaped the traditions that dominated the region until the development of energy and mineral resources brought a wave of immigration into the area.

Grave Creek Mound - Moundsville, At 62 feet high and 240 feet in diameter, the Grave Creek Mound is one of the largest conical type burial mounds in the US. The builders of the site moved more than 60,000 tons of dirt to create it. It is located in Moundsville, West Virginia. In 1838, much of the archaeological evidence in this mound was destroyed when several non-archaeologists tunneled into the mound. To gain entrance to the mound, two shafts, one vertical and one horizontal were created.

International Mother's Day Shrine - Grafton, Andrews Methodist Episcopal Church, the "mother church" of Mother's Day, was incorporated as the International Mother's Day Shrine on May 15, 1962, as a tribute to all mothers. The church was constructed in 1873 and is located on Main Street in downtown Grafton in Taylor County, West Virginia. The International Mother's Day Shrine was designated a National Historic Landmark October 5, 1992. Its location is about one mile south of the junction of U.

Jackson's Mill - Weston, Jackson's Mill was a grist mill in West Virginia. The center of the Jackson estate stood in the peninsula formed by the confluence of Freeman's Creek and the West Fork River. Edward Jackson built a home on a prominent knoll 100 yards from the West Fork, a two-story frontier-style log structure 40 feet by 20. On the other side of the river, he built a sawmill and grist mill in 1808.

Prabhupada's Palace of Gold - , New Vrindaban, New Vrindaban is a ISKCON intentional community located in Marshall County near Moundsville, West Virginia. It consists of 500 acres and several building complexes, including the Sri Sri Radha Vrindaban Chandra Temple and the Palace of Gold. New Vrindaban was founded in 1968 by Kirtanananda Swami and Hayagriva Swami. New Vrindaban is named after the Indian city of Vrindavan. It was expelled from ISKCON in 1988, but was readmitted some years later.
