Originally completed in 1959 at the cost of $2.5 million, the Charleston Civic Center has undergone numerous renovations and expansions. Craik-Patton House - Charleston, Craik-Patton House is a historic home located at Charleston, West Virginia. It was built about 1834 in the Greek Revival style. It was originally located on Virginia Street in Charleston, but moved to its present site in 1973 to save it from the threat of demolition. It features four massive columns that support the extended center roof with pilasters placed above the front facade. It was faithfully restored and preserved for the public by the Colonial Dames of America in the state of West Virginia and open for tours from April through October.

Mansion House Museum - Point Pleasant, Tu-Endie-Wei State Park is located at the confluence of the Kanawha River and the Ohio River in downtown Point Pleasant, West Virginia. The park commemorates the Battle of Point Pleasant, fought between the settler militia of Virginia and the forces of Shawnee Chief Cornstalk on October 10, 1774. The militia victory by the settlers weakened the alliance between native forces and the British and freed settlers from western Virginia to cross the Allegheny Mountains and join in the Revolutionary War.
