Crazy Horse Memorial - , Crazy Horse, The Crazy Horse Memorial is a mountain monument under construction in the Black Hills of South Dakota, in the form of Crazy Horse, an Oglala Lakota warrior, riding a horse and pointing into the distance. The memorial was commissioned by Lakota Chief Henry Standing Bear to be sculpted by Korczak Ziolkowski.

Custer State Park - Custer, Custer State Park is a state park and wildlife reserve in the Black Hills of southwestern South Dakota in the US. The park is South Dakota's largest and first state park, named after Lt. Colonel George Armstrong Custer, . The area originally started out as sixteen sections, but was later changed into one block of land because of the challenges of the terrain. The park began to grow rapidly in the 1920s and gained new land.

Mammoth Site of Hot Springs - Hot Springs, The Mammoth Site is a museum and paleontological site near Hot Springs, South Dakota. It contains the remains of fauna and flora preserved by entrapment in a karst sinkhole during the Pleistocene era. Mammoth bones were found at the site in 1974, and a museum and building enclosing the site were established. The museum now contains an extensive collection of mammoth remains. Research and excavations at the site are ongoing.

Wind Cave National Park - Hot Springs, Wind Cave National Park is a United States national park 10 miles north of the town of Hot Springs in western South Dakota. Established in 1903 by President Theodore Roosevelt, it was the seventh U.S. National Park and the first cave to be designated a national park anywhere in the world. The cave is notable for its displays of the calcite formation known as boxwork. about 95 percent of the world's discovered boxwork formations are found in Wind Cave.
