French Azilum - Towanda, French Azilum, located in Bradford County, Pennsylvania, was a planned settlement for refugees fleeing the French Revolution. Several influential Philadelphians, including Stephen Girard, Robert Morris and John Nicholson, Pennsylvania's comptroller general, were sympathetic to the exiles, and also saw a chance to profit financially. In 1793 they aided in the purchase of 1,600 acres of land in northeastern Pennsylvania, which was then wilderness.

Houdini Museum - Scranton, The Houdini Museum was established in 1988 at 1433 N. Main Avenue in Scranton, Pennsylvania in the US. It is in a turn-of-the-20th-century building that has been entirely renovated. Houdini performed in Scranton and did several special challenges there. His brother, Hardeen, also appeared in Scranton and in its sister city, Wilkes-Barre. Documents and letters attesting to this are on display at the museum and on its website.
