Allegheny Portage Railroad National Historic Site - Gallitzin, The Allegheny Portage Railroad was the first railroad constructed through the Allegheny Mountains in central Pennsylvania. It was a series of 10 inclines, about 36 miles long, and operated from 1834 to 1854. It connected two canal divisions of the Main Line of Public Works of the Pennsylvania Canal from Johnstown on the west to Hollidaysburg on the east, thus allowing continuous barge traffic between the Ohio and the Susquehanna rivers.

DelGrosso's Amusement Park - Tipton, DelGrosso's Amusement Park is a family-oriented amusement park that is situated in Tipton, Pennsylvania, a northern suburb of Altoona, Pennsylvania. The park was purchased by the DelGrosso family in 1946 and was named "Bland's Park" until 2000. In 2000, the DelGrosso family decided to change its name to "DelGrosso's Amusement Park." Horseshoe Curve - Altoona, Horseshoe Curve is a famous railroad horseshoe curve in central Pennsylvania, near Altoona in the US. Called an "engineering marvel", it was completed in 1854 by the Pennsylvania Railroad. It was later used by the Penn Central, then Conrail, and is currently owned and operated by the Norfolk Southern Railway.

Johnstown Flood National Memorial - South Fork, Johnstown Flood National Memorial commemorates the about 2,200 people who died in the Johnstown Flood of 1889, caused by a break in the South Fork Dam. Clara Barton successfully led the American Red Cross in its first disaster relief effort. The memorial is located at 733 Lake Road near South Fork, Pennsylvania, about 10 miles northeast of Johnstown. The memorial preserves the remains of the dam and portions of the former Lake Conemaugh bed.

Lakemont Park - Altoona, Lakemont Park, located in Altoona, Pennsylvania, houses the world's oldest-surviving roller coaster, the Leap-The-Dips. The park opened in 1894 as a trolley park and became an amusement park in the summer of 1899. It is the 8th oldest in the US. The park was owned by the Boyer Candy Company from May 23, 1986 until July 1, 1988, when it was called Boyertown USA.
