Allegheny Portage Railroad National Historic Site - Gallitzin, The Allegheny Portage Railroad was the first railroad constructed through the Allegheny Mountains in central Pennsylvania. It was a series of 10 inclines, about 36 miles long, and operated from 1834 to 1854. It connected two canal divisions of the Main Line of Public Works of the Pennsylvania Canal from Johnstown on the west to Hollidaysburg on the east, thus allowing continuous barge traffic between the Ohio and the Susquehanna rivers.

Built in 1921, this State College course designed by Willie Park, Jr. is open mar 15 to nov 15. For tee time information call the pro shop at 814-863-0257. Bryce Jordan Center - Penn State - State College, Bryce Jordan Center is a 15,261-seat multi-purpose arena in University Park, Pennsylvania. The arena opened in 1995 and is the largest such venue between Philadelphia and Pittsburgh. It superseded Rec Hall as the home to the Penn State University Nittany Lions men's and women's basketball team and for the men, their student section, Nittany Nation. It also plays host to a number of events such as music concerts, circuses, and commencement ceremonies for colleges within the university.

DelGrosso's Amusement Park - Tipton, DelGrosso's Amusement Park is a family-oriented amusement park that is situated in Tipton, Pennsylvania, a northern suburb of Altoona, Pennsylvania. The park was purchased by the DelGrosso family in 1946 and was named "Bland's Park" until 2000. In 2000, the DelGrosso family decided to change its name to "DelGrosso's Amusement Park." The park is known for its family-friendly ride line-up, food and games as well as free parking and admission.

Horseshoe Curve - Altoona, Horseshoe Curve is a famous railroad horseshoe curve in central Pennsylvania, near Altoona in the US. Called an "engineering marvel", it was completed in 1854 by the Pennsylvania Railroad. It was later used by the Penn Central, then Conrail, and is currently owned and operated by the Norfolk Southern Railway.

Lakemont Park - Altoona, Lakemont Park, located in Altoona, Pennsylvania, houses the world's oldest-surviving roller coaster, the Leap-The-Dips. The park opened in 1894 as a trolley park and became an amusement park in the summer of 1899. It is the 8th oldest in the US. The park was owned by the Boyer Candy Company from May 23, 1986 until July 1, 1988, when it was called Boyertown USA.
