Village of Sugar Mountain Golf Course - Banner Elk, The Village of Sugar Mountain Golf Course is an 18 hole public golf course in Avery County North Carolina. Built in 1974, this Banner Elk course designed by Duane Francis & Arnold Palmer is open apr 1 to nov 1. For tee time information call the pro shop at 828-898-6464. The golf course dress code is as follows: Collared shirt, no cutoffs, denim OK.

William King Regional Arts Center - , Abingdon, William King Museum, located in Abingdon, Virginia, serves the Tri-Cities/ Abingdon/ Bristol TN and VA areas. Located in an historic 1913 building that is a fully renovated former school, the William King Museum features museum-standard galleries showcasing art of the region and of the world, both contemporary and historic.
