USS North Carolina Battleship Memorial - Wilmington, USS North Carolina was the lead ship of her class of battleship and the fourth in the US Navy to be named in honor of this U.S. state. She was the first new-construction U.S. battleship to enter service during World War II, participating in every major naval offensive in the Pacific theater to become the most decorated U.S. battleship of the war with 15 battle stars. She is now a museum ship at the port of Wilmington, North Carolina.

Wilmington Municipal Golf Course - Wilmington, The Wilmington Municipal Golf Course is an 18 hole public golf course in New Hanover County North Carolina. Built in 1926, this Wilmington course designed by Donald Ross is open all year. For tee time information call the pro shop at 910-791-0558. The golf course dress code is as follows: No tank tops or cutoffs.

Wrightsville Beach - Wrightsville Beach, Wrightsville Beach is a town in New Hanover County, North Carolina. Wrightsville Beach is just east of Wilmington and is part of the Wilmington Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 2,593 at the 2000 census. The town consists of a four-mile-long beach island, an interior island called Harbor Island, and pockets of commercial property on the mainland.
