Cataloochee Ski Area - Maggie Valley, Cataloochee is a ski area located near Maggie Valley, North Carolina. The area has fourteen ski slopes and trails. about 25% of the slopes are rated beginner, 50% intermediate, and 25% advanced. Road trip through the Great Smoky Mountains past Knoxville, Nashville, Memphis. While driving through Memphis we saw the gigantic stainless-steel Great American Pyramid arena in the middle of the city, the focal point of the city's skyline since 1991.
