It is a Gothic Revival style cottage designed by Alexander Jackson Davis and built in 1849. It is a two story "L" shaped house, with basement and attic. Gerrit Smith Estate - Peterboro, Gerrit Smith Estate, in Peterboro, New York, was a home of Gerrit Smith, 19th-century social reformer, abolitionist, and presidential candidate. The buildings remaining on the property that contribute to its historical significance are the Peterboro Land Office with an attached smokehouse, designated on the National Register of Historic Places on its own, a 19th century barn and an adjacent building that was probably the laundry.

Herkimer County Historical Society Suiter Building Museum - Herkimer, Herkimer County Historical Society is located in the 1884 Suiter Building, a historic home in Herkimer, Herkimer County, New York. It is a two and one half story, wood frame structure with red pressed brick walls laid in black mortar built in 1884. It features a complex pitched roof of slate with a brick corbelled cornice and terra cotta ornament along the roof edge. There is also an octagonal peaked roof above the corner tower.
