Fort Bowie National Historic Site - , Bowie, Fort Bowie National Historic Site is a United States National Historic Site located near Apache Pass in southeastern Arizona. The fort was established in 1862 and a historic site in 1972 to commemorate the bitter conflict between the Chiricahua Apaches and the American military and to preserve the ruins of Fort Bowie.
