Built in 1946, this Artesia course designed by Ralph Plummer is open all year - closed on mondays. Tee times are accepted up to 4 days in advance and the pro shop phone number for reservations is 505-746-6732. The golf course dress code is as follows: No tank tops or cutoffs.

Carlsbad Caverns National Park - Carlsbad, Carlsbad Caverns National Park is a United States National Park in the Guadalupe Mountains in southeastern New Mexico. The primary attraction of the park for most visitors is the show cave, Carlsbad Caverns. Visitors to the cave can hike in on their own via the natural entrance, or take the elevator directly to the Underground Lunchroom some 750 feet below.

Living Desert Zoo and Gardens State Park - Carlsbad, The Living Desert Zoo and Gardens State Park, formerly the Living Desert Zoological and Botanical State Park, is a zoo and botanical garden displaying plants and animals of the Chihuahuan Desert in their native habitats. It is located off U.S. Route 285 at the north edge of Carlsbad, New Mexico, at an elevation of 3,200 feet atop the Ocotillo Hills overlooking the city and the Pecos River. It is open every day except Christmas; an admission fee is charged.
