Chahinkapa Zoo - , Wahpeton, Chahinkapa Zoo is a zoo in Wahpeton, North Dakota; opened in 1903, it is the first zoo built in North Dakota. It is open May through October and by appointment during the winter. It features over 200 animals ranging from Gibbon apes to Bengal Tigers. Nearby is a fully restored 1926 antique carousel with 20 horses.

Fort Abercrombie State Historic Site - , Abercrombie, Fort Abercrombie, in North Dakota, was an American fort established by authority of an act of Congress, March 3, 1857. The act allocated twenty-five square miles of land on the Red River in Dakota Territory to be used for a military outpost, but the exact location was left to the discretion of Lieutenant Colonel John J. Abercrombie. The fort was constructed in the year 1858. It was the first permanent military settlement in what became North Dakota, and is thus known as "The Gateway to the Dakotas".

Phelps Mill - Underwood, Phelps Mill is a flour mill in Otter Tail County, Minnesota on the Otter Tail River. The mill was built in 1888-1889 by William E. Thomas, a local entrepreneur who owned a flour and feed business in Fergus Falls, . During that time, wheat was a high-demand crop, and nearly 1000 flour mills were in operation throughout Minnesota. Thomas began constructing a wooden dam on the river in the spring of 1888, although the dam was prone to leakage and had to be shored up with sandbags, dirt, gravel, and other materials.
