Capt. Salem Avery House - Shady Side, The Capt. Salem Avery House is a historic home and museum at Shady Side, Anne Arundel County, Maryland. It is a two-story frame building, located on a 0.75-acre rectangular lot, overlooking the West River and Chesapeake Bay. Charles Sumner School - , Washington, The Charles Sumner School, established in 1872, was one of the earliest schools for African Americans in Washington, D.C.
