B&O Railroad Museum - Baltimore, The B&O Railroad Museum is a museum exhibiting historic railroad equipment in Baltimore, Maryland, originally named the Baltimore & Ohio Transportation Museum when it opened on July 4, 1953. It has been called one of the most significant collections of railroad treasures in the world and has the largest collection of 19th century locomotives in the U.S. The museum is located in the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad's old Mount Clare Station and adjacent roundhouse, part of the B&O's sprawling Mount Clare Shops site begun in 1829, the oldest railroad manufacturing complex in the US.

Ballestone Mansion - Essex, Ballestone Mansion is a historic home located on Cedar Point between Back and Middle Rivers in Essex, Baltimore County, Maryland. It is a part of the Rocky Point Park and is owned by Baltimore County. It was built during the late 18th or early 19th century and has been enlarged twice. The original portion was built about 1800. An originally one floor addition had a second floor added to it circa 1870-80.

Baltimore Civil War Museum - Baltimore, The President Street Station in Baltimore, Maryland is a former train station. Built in 1850, it is the oldest surviving big city railroad terminal in the US. The station was an important rail transportation link during the Civil War and is now home to the Baltimore Civil War Museum.

Baltimore Museum of Art - Baltimore, The Baltimore Museum of Art in Baltimore, Maryland, was founded in 1914. Built in the Roman Temple style, the Museum is home to an internationally renowned collection of 19th-century, modern, and contemporary art. Founded in 1914 with a single painting, the BMA today has 90,000 works of art—including the largest holding of works by Henri Matisse in the world. It is located between the Charles Village and Remington neighborhoods, immediately adjacent to the Homewood campus of Johns Hopkins University, though the museum is an independent institution not affiliated with the University.

Baltimore Museum of Industry - Baltimore, Baltimore Museum of Industry is a museum at Baltimore, Maryland. Located in an old cannery, the museum has exhibits on various types of manufacturing and industry from the early 20th century. There are several hands-on sections with working equipment and other artifacts.

Baltimore Public Works Museum - Baltimore, The now-closed Baltimore Public Works Museum was located at 751 Eastern Avenue, Pier 7 of the Inner Harbor, Baltimore, Maryland. This museum provided a behind-the-scenes glimpse of how a large city provides utility services to its citizens. The building housing this display is an operating pumping station built in 1912. Exhibits also explained street lighting, road maintenance, and trash removal. An outdoor sculpture called Streetscape was an intricate model of a network of phone lines, street lights, storm drains and pipes for water, gas, and sewage disposal.

Baltimore Streetcar Museum - Baltimore, The Baltimore Streetcar Museum is a non-profit museum located at 1901 Falls Road in Baltimore, Maryland. The museum is dedicated to preserving Baltimore's public transportation history, especially the streetcar era. The museum is open noon to 5 p.m. Sundays throughout the year and noon to 5 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays, June through October.

Beall-Dawson House - Rockville, The The Beall-Dawson House is a historic home located at Rockville, Montgomery County, Maryland. It is a two and one-half story Federal house, three bays wide by two deep, constructed of Flemish bond brick on the front facade and common bond elsewhere. Outbuildings on the property include an original brick dairy house and a mid-19th century one-room Gothic Revival frame doctor's office which was moved to the site for use as a museum.

Belair Mansion - Bowie, The Belair Mansion, located in Collington, Maryland, was built in circa 1745 as the Georgian plantation home of the Provincial Governor of Maryland, Samuel Ogle. Later home to another Maryland governor, the mansion is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
