Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens - Boothbay, Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens, with 248 acres and a mile of waterfront in the mid-coast town of Boothbay, Maine, is Maine's first and only botanical garden. After 16 years of planning, building and planting, in 2007 the Gardens opened to the public with spectacular ornamental gardens and the elegant, shingle-style Visitor Center.

Dry Mills Schoolhouse - Gray, The Dry Mills Schoolhouse is the last standing single-room schoolhouse in Gray, Maine. It was built around 1857 and operated as a schoolhouse until 1958. The house and original granite slab foundation have since been moved to Maine Wildlife Park Road. In the early 1990s it was restored to its original condition except for an outhouse that used to be attached to the building. The restorations cost about $12,000.

Fort Western - Augusta, Fort Western was a colonial outpost at the head of navigation on the Kennebec River at modern Augusta, Maine. It was built in 1754 by a Boston land company to promote settlement in the area. The fort was a log palisade with blockhouses which protected a store and warehouse. It was never directly attacked. From a high elevation a large rectangular enclosure commanded the river for more than a mile. Blockhouses 24 feet square and watch-boxes 12 feet square guarded opposite corners, and within stood a two-story main house 100 feet by 32 feet.

Joshua L. Chamberlain Museum - Brunswick, The Joshua L. Chamberlain Museum was the home of American Civil War general, Bowdoin College president, and Maine governor Joshua L. Chamberlain for over 50 years. Located at the corner of Maine and Potter Streets in Brunswick, Maine, the house is now open to the public and is in the process of being restored as it was when Chamberlain lived there.
