Governor John Langdon House - , Portsmouth, The Governor John Langdon House, which is also referred to as Governor John Langdon Mansion, in Portsmouth, New Hampshire in the US, is a mansion house built in 1784 by John Langdon, that is now a National Historic Landmark. Langdon was a merchant, shipbuilder, American Revolutionary War general, signer of the United States Constitution, and three-term President of New Hampshire. The house he built for his family expresses his status as Portsmouth's leading citizen and received praise from George Washington, who visited there in 1789.

Jackson House - , Portsmouth, The Richard Jackson House in Portsmouth, New Hampshire in the US, is the oldest surviving wood frame house in New Hampshire or Maine. This National Historic Landmark was built in 1664 by Richard Jackson, a woodworker, farmer, and mariner, on his family's 25-acre plot. Jackson's house resembles English post-medieval prototypes, but is notably American in its extravagant use of wood. Succeeding generations added a lean-to and more rooms to the east to accommodate several different family groups sharing the property at once.

John Paul Jones House - , Portsmouth, John Paul Jones House was the home of Captain Gregory Purcell and his wife in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. They had it built in 1758 and Purcell lived there until his death in 1776. The widow Purcell then took in boarders. American naval hero John Paul Jones rented a room during 1781-1782 while supervising construction of the ship America. This is the only surviving building known to have been associated with John Paul Jones' life.
