Fort Western - Augusta, Fort Western was a colonial outpost at the head of navigation on the Kennebec River at modern Augusta, Maine. It was built in 1754 by a Boston land company to promote settlement in the area. The fort was a log palisade with blockhouses which protected a store and warehouse. It was never directly attacked. From a high elevation a large rectangular enclosure commanded the river for more than a mile. Blockhouses 24 feet square and watch-boxes 12 feet square guarded opposite corners, and within stood a two-story main house 100 feet by 32 feet.

Joshua L. Chamberlain Museum - Brunswick, The Joshua L. Chamberlain Museum was the home of American Civil War general, Bowdoin College president, and Maine governor Joshua L. Chamberlain for over 50 years. Located at the corner of Maine and Potter Streets in Brunswick, Maine, the house is now open to the public and is in the process of being restored as it was when Chamberlain lived there.

Maine State Building - Poland, The Maine State Building was originally at the Columbian Exposition in Chicago. Designed by Chicago architect Charles Sumner Frost, a Lewiston, Maine native and MIT graduate, the building was constructed of granite with a slate roof. All the materials were from Maine and crafted by craftsmen and companies from Maine. At the fair, the building was filled with displays about the State of Maine.
