Louisiana State Capitol - Baton Rouge, The Louisiana State Capitol building is the capitol building of the state of Louisiana, located in Baton Rouge, . The capitol houses the Louisiana State Legislature, the governor's office, and parts of the executive branch. At 450 feet tall, with 34 stories, it is the tallest capitol building in the US, the tallest building in Baton Rouge, and the seventh-tallest building in Louisiana. Magnolia Mound Plantation House - Baton Rouge, The Magnolia Mound Plantation House is a French Creole house constructed in 1791 near the Mississippi River in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Many period documents refer to the plantation as Mount Magnolia. The house and several original outbuildings on the grounds of Magnolia Mound Plantation are examples of the vernacular architectural influences of early settlers from France and the West Indies. The complex is owned by the city of Baton Rouge and maintained by its Recreation Commission.

Nottoway Plantation - White Castle, Nottoway Plantation, which is also referred to as Nottoway Plantation House is located in White Castle, Louisiana. This home was completed in 1859 for the John Hampton Randolph family. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.

Oak Alley Plantation - Vacherie, Oak Alley Plantation is a historic plantation that can be found on the Mississippi River in the community of Vacherie, Louisiana. It is protected as a National Historic Landmark. It is named after its distinguishing feature, an alley or canopied path created by a double row of live oaks about 800 feet long, which was planted in the early 18th century, long before the present house was built. The alley leads towards the Mississippi River.

Old Louisiana Governor's Mansion - Baton Rouge, The Old Louisiana Governor's Mansion is a museum that can be found at 502 North Blvd. between Royal and St. Charles Streets in Baton Rouge and was used between 1930 and 1961; a new residence was completed in 1963. When the original Louisiana Governor's mansion was termite-infested during the beginning of Huey Long's governorship, Long decided to build a new one on the site. Pete Maravich Assembly Center - Louisiana State University - Baton Rouge, Pete Maravich Assembly Center is a 13,472-seat multi-purpose arena in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The arena opened in 1972. It is home to the Louisiana State University Tigers and Lady Tigers basketball teams. It was originally known as the LSU Assembly Center, but was renamed in memory of Pete Maravich, a Tiger basketball legend, shortly after his death in 1988. Maravich never played in the arena, but it was his exploits which led LSU to build a larger home for the basketball team, which languished for decades in the shadow of the school's football program.

Plaquemine Lock State Historic Site - Plaquemine, Plaquemine Lock State Historic Site, located in Plaquemine, Louisiana, commemorates an early example of hydraulic engineering design and the historic significance of Bayou Plaquemine, an important navigable waterway that was once a distributary of the Mississippi River. Bayou Plaquemine promoted settlement beginning in the 18th century and helped the area economically by providing an access route between southwestern Louisiana and the Mississippi via the Atchafalaya Basin.
