Belterra Casino - , Belterra, Belterra Casino Resort & Spa is a riverboat casino operated by Pinnacle Entertainment. It is located in Switzerland County, Indiana, roughly halfway between the large cities of Louisville, Kentucky and Cincinnati, Ohio. Due to state law gambling operations are on a riverboat which is docked on the Ohio River. The facility opened on October 23, 2000, and the riverboat has cruised the river less and less frequently as state regulations have been relaxed.

Big Bone Lick State Park - , Big Bone, Big Bone Lick State Park is a museum that can be found at Big Bone in Boone County, Kentucky. It is located on Beaver Road and between the communities of Beaverlick and Rabbit Hash. The name of the park comes from the Pleistocene megafauna fossils found there. The mammoths and other creatures are believed to have been drawn to this location by a salt lick. It bills itself as "the birthplace of American paleontology" a term which dates from the 1807 expedition by William Clark and his brother General George Rogers Clark.

Cane Ridge, Kentucky - Paris, Cane Ridge, Kentucky in the US was the site, in 1801, of a large camp meeting that drew thousands of people and had a lasting influence as one of the landmark events of the Second Great Awakening. Methodists, Baptists and Presbyterians all participated, and many of the "spiritual exercises", such as glossolalia, were exhibited that later became more associated with the Pentecostal movement. Perhaps the most lasting legacy of Cane Ridge was a formalization of what would become known as the Restoration Movement, which was the origin of the Disciples of Christ, the Churches of Christ, the Evangelical Christian Church in Canada, and several other, smaller groups.
