Fort Donelson National Battlefield - Dover, Fort Donelson National Battlefield preserves Fort Donelson and Fort Heiman, two sites of the American Civil War Forts Henry and Donelson Campaign, in which Union General Ulysses S. Grant and Admiral Andrew Hull Foote captured three Confederate forts, opened two rivers to the Union navy, and received national recognition for their victories in February 1862, the first major Union successes of the war. The main portion of the park, in Dover, Tennessee, commemorates the Battle of Fort Donelson, one of the most influential battles in American history.

Jefferson Davis State Historic Site - Fairview, The Jefferson Davis Monument State Historic Site is a Kentucky State Park preserving the birthplace of Jefferson Davis, the president of the Confederate States of America. It is located in Fairview, Kentucky, in Todd County, 3 miles west of Hopkinsville along U.S. Highway 68. The focal point of the site is a 351-foot tall concrete obelisk.
