Andersonville National Historic Site - Andersonville, The Andersonville prison, officially known as Camp Sumter, served as a Confederate Prisoner-of-war camp during the American Civil War. The site of the prison is now Andersonville National Historic Site in Andersonville, Georgia. Georgia Veterans State Park - Cordele, Georgia Vererans State Park is a state park located on Lake Blackshear in Crisp County, west of Cordele, Georgia. It was established in 1931 as a memorial to U.S. Veterans. The 1,308-acre park features a museum with aircraft, vehicles, weapons, uniforms and other memorabilia dating from the Revolutionary War to the present.

The Parks at Chehaw (Albany, Georgia) - Albany, The Parks at Chehaw is a park and zoo that is situated in Albany, Georgia. The parks were originally opened as Chehaw State Park in 1937, and currently covers 800 acres. The Wild Animal Park was designed by naturalist Jim Fowler of TV's Wild Kingdom. It was opened in 1997, and features boardwalks in the cypress swamps that take visitors through natural habitat exhibits.
