Andersonville National Historic Site - Andersonville, The Andersonville prison, officially known as Camp Sumter, served as a Confederate Prisoner-of-war camp during the American Civil War. The site of the prison is now Andersonville National Historic Site in Andersonville, Georgia. Most of the site actually lies in extreme southwestern Macon County, adjacent to the east side of Andersonville, . It includes the site of the Civil War prison, the Andersonville National Cemetery and the National Prisoner of War Museum.

Fort Mitchell (archeological site) - , Fort Mitchell, Located in Fort Mitchell, Alabama, Fort Mitchell Historic Site is a park and an archaeological site that was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1990.[2] The park features a reconstruction of the 1813 stockade fort that was an important post in the Creek War, a museum with exhibits about the fort's history and a collection of historic carriages, a restored 19th century log home, and a visitor center.

Jimmy Carter National Historic Site - Plains, The Jimmy Carter National Historic Site, located in Plains, Georgia, preserves sites associated with James Earl "Jimmy" Carter, Jr., 39th President of the United States. These include his residence, boyhood farm, school, and the town railroad depot, which served as his campaign headquarters during the 1976 election. The building which used to be Plains High School serves as the park’s museum and visitor center.
