Camp Blanding - Starke, Camp Blanding Joint Training Center is the primary military reservation and training base for the Florida National Guard, both the Florida Army National Guard and Florida Air National Guard, located in Clay County, Florida near the city of Starke, . Gainesville Raceway - Gainesville, Gainesville Raceway is a quarter-mile dragstrip just outside Gainesville, Florida. It opened in 1969 and is most famous for hosting the NHRA's prestigious Gatornationals event since 1970. Kenny Bernstein became the first drag racer to break the 300 mile-per-hour barrier at the track on March 20, 1992 during qualifying for that year's Gatornationals.
