Capt. Elisha Phelps House - Simsbury, The Captain Elisha Phelps House, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, was built by David Phelps in 1711. His son Elisha Phelps received the land from his father and expanded the house in 1771. Elisha Phelps along with his brother Noah Phelps and others took part in the capture of Fort Ticonderoga in 1775. Capt. Phelps was appointed as commissary of the Northern Department by the Continental Congress.

Captain David Judson House - Stratford, Captain David Judson House was built by David Judson, a resident of Stratford, Connecticut, in 1723 . The 1723 house was built on the stone foundation and incorporates part of the chimney of the original house built in 1639 by Judson's great grandfather William . The first floor, now the cellar, is above ground level and contains a massive central stone chimney which was built with lug poles. It is believed that the cellar was used as slave quarters during the early 18th century.
