Bent's Old Fort National Historic Site - La Junta, Bent's Old Fort is an 1833 fort located in Otero County in southeastern Colorado in the US. William and Charles Bent, along with Ceran St. Vrain, built the fort to trade with Southern Cheyenne and Arapaho Plains Indians and trappers for buffalo robes. For much of its 16-year history, the fort was the only major permanent settlement on the Santa Fe Trail between Missouri and the Mexican settlements. It was destroyed under mysterious circumstances in 1849.

La Junta Golf Course - La Junta, The La Junta Golf Course is a 8 hole public golf course in Otero County Colorado. Built in 1950, this La Junta course designed by Army Corp of Engineers is open all year. Tee times are accepted by calling the pro shop at 719-384-7133. The golf course dress code is as follows: Shirt and shoes required.

Spreading Antlers Golf Course - Lamar, The Spreading Antlers Golf Course is a 9 hole public golf course in Prowers County Colorado. Built in 1965, this Lamar course designed by Labron Harris is open all year. Tee times are accepted by calling the pro shop at 719-336-5274. The golf course dress code is as follows: No tank tops or cutoffs.
