Alpine Meadows - Tahoe City, Alpine Meadows is a ski resort in the North Lake Tahoe California area, near Squaw Valley. The resort has 11 chairlifts and 2 surface lifts covering 2,400 acres of terrain. Alpine has a vertical drop of 1,800 ft with a top elevation of 8,637 ft. Minimal accommodations are available at the resort itself, so most people opt for a hotel at Tahoe City, Squaw Valley, Donner Pass, or Truckee.

Apple Mountain Golf Resort - Camino, The Apple Mountain Golf Resort is an 18 hole public golf course in El Dorado County California. Built in 1997, this Camino course designed by Algie Pulley is open all year. Tee times are accepted by calling the pro shop at 530-647-7400. The golf course dress code is as follows: No denim, collared shirt and bermuda shorts required.

Bear Valley - Angels Camp, Bear Valley is a ski area located on highway 4 between Lake Tahoe and Yosemite—about three hours southeast of Sacramento, California. It is about one hour from Angels Camp, California. It has been owned by Canadian company Dundee Realty since 2005.

Bijou Municipal Golf Course - South Lake Tahoe, The Bijou Municipal Golf Course is a 9 hole public golf course in El Dorado County California. Built in 1920, this South Lake Tahoe course is open may 1 to oct 31. Tee times are accepted by calling the pro shop at 530-542-6097. The golf course dress code is as follows: Shirt and shoes required.

Boreal - Soda Springs, Boreal Mountain Resort is a ski area in Soda Springs, near the Lake Tahoe area of California. It has nine chair lifts and offers night skiing until 9 pm. It is owned by Powdr Corporation

Bowers Mansion - , Carson City, The Bowers Mansion, located between Reno and Carson City, Nevada, was built in 1863 by Lemuel "Sandy" Bowers and his wife, Eilley, and is a prime example of the homes built in Nevada by the new millionaires of the Comstock Lode mining boom.

Cal Neva Lodge & Casino - , Crystal Bay, Cal Neva Resort, Spa & Casino is a resort and casino straddling the border between Nevada and California on the shores of Lake Tahoe. Its mailing address is in Crystal Bay, Nevada. It first opened in 1926, and currently has a total of 220 rooms including cabins, chalets and tower rooms. This lodge was once part-owned by Frank Sinatra, who held an interest from 1960 to 1963. Sinatra's gambling license was stripped by the Nevada Gaming Control Board after Chicago mobster Sam Giancana was spotted on the premises.

Carson Valley Museum & Cultural Center - , Gardnerville, Douglas County High School was the high school serving Douglas County, Nevada from 1915 the mid 1950s when it became a middle school. In 1988 the building was retired from educational uses. Designed by prolific Nevada architect Frederic Joseph DeLongchamps, it serves today as both the Carson Valley Museum & Cultural Center and a middle school and is listed on the United States National Register of Historic Places.

Donner Ski Ranch - Norden, Donner Ski Ranch is a budget-oriented, family owned ski area located on Donner Summit in the Tahoe National Forest of Nevada County, California. It is owned by Janet and Marshall Tuttle, who purchased it after it went into bankruptcy. The area it is on has been used for skiing since 1937. It has ski lifts on both sides of Donner Summit, and is located close to Boreal. 25% of its terrain is beginner, 50% intermediate, and 25% advanced, but of the 52 runs 16 are of beginning difficulty, 20 are intermediate, and 16 are advanced.
